That was crazy.

I’m tempted to say it was the craziest thing I have ever done, but I have basically not slept in 40 hours and can not remember any thing else I have ever done except paddle paddle paddle, so I don’t have the necessary information to make that judgement at this time.

My body and mind have accomplished things in the last 95 hours that I cannot explain to you. I could say something like “I paddled a canoe across the state of Missouri in 4 days” or like “I have spent 72 out of the last 85 hours traveling 340 miles on the river, awake, in a moving boat”, but those just describes the end result. They do not explain what it took, how it happened, what it felt like. I don’t think it can be communicated. I could try to use a simile or metaphor or something, but I can’t think of a single thing that compares. If you want to know, you will just have to try for yourself.

Right now I feel so incredibly grateful that I have a wonderful mom, incredible friends, and the best partner. I’m grateful my body is stronger than I literally could have ever imagined.

Not sure I will ever experience this feeling again. A true “once in a life time”, which are pretty rare.

We made it!!!!!!!!!!!!
